The days are running away from me.
Where are all my followers :(
Not a single comment yet. Wonder how long it took Julia to get comments? Guess I should read the book to find out.
Anyway, busy with three new book and lots of cake orders.

It's Sunday again.
I got my new laptop and have been spending the last two days transferring everything from one to the other. It's a royal pain in the ass. To top it off I didn't put my iTunes stuff on anything as I had thought I did so I have to manually reload 70+ CD. I am also going to put each and every single Cd containing pictures in here to put on photobucket and make one mean screensaver. Once all that is done I can go back to writing. I have noticed that I have allowed blogging to take the place of my journal entries. I don't like that. I am writing those journals for my children, grand childeren etc. so I need to get the journal caught up as well.

Book website is up, Hurray
I just thought I would check and see if the website is up yet and much to my surprise and huge excitement it is. My son want's to be the first to order a copy so he will do it first thing in the morning and I am so thrilled. I can't wait to do book signings and other things. Most importantly being able to give to Phoenix Children's Hospital and the LiveStrong foundation.

It is a day for action
I will spend the better part of this day writing on the sequel to Faith. I will skim over the first 5 chapters and then dive into working. My breaks will consist of taking my daughter to the mall, going to the bank and the grocery store, that's it nothing else. So for the next twelve hours I should be able to get a couple chapters done.

I am happy happy happy lalalala...
All the stuff happening now with the book is marvelous. I love it. I can't say the last time I was so excited about anything, I mean literally jumping up and down and all of that. It's awesome. So anyway my publisher is going to give my regular blog (this one) my book blog, face book, twitter and mySpace a "make over" so it will be all book oriented which totally rocks. Today or tomorrow my book website will be up and people will be able to purchase the book from the web site. I guess it may be the end of next week before it's on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. I'd rather sell books through the website for now. The sequel is well on it's way and should be finished by then end of September to mid October.

Can I have 48 hours in a day please
Why does it seem like I'm running from the minute I get out of bed till I get back in it. Preparing for the launch of "A leap of Faith", working in cakes, fondant figurines, gum paste flowers, making business cards, working on "A leap of Faith - What happened to Sam" which is under review by Arthur Levine at the moment. Keeping the house spotless as usual and.....it just seems like I could use another 24 hours in each day to get it all done. I need to add a full time job to the list so I can pay my bills in a more respectable manner.

Hurray
I have been busy for the better part of today making gum paste roses and I have a little over a dozen now, they are peach, orange and white. Very pretty.
I am so tired and can't see straight anymore, that may explain while I constantly have to make
spelling corrections, ha.
Well good night fellow bloggers. Sleep well.

TGIF
Hello fellow bloggers,
I actually made it before midnight. No word yet from my publisher as far as the launch date. I had hoped to know today. Two very stressful days behind me and I hope the next two will be nothing but wedding cake, sugar roses, and tamale making heaven. Bussy week next week, looking forward to it.
Am I twisted?
Another day doing my update after midnight, what gives. I will spend the weekend making one if not two trial wedding cakes for my son and his fiance, make a buttload (as my grand daughter would say) of tamales and then on sunday night eat the whole mess.
Come Monday I will return to Starbucks to my daily dose of book work. Plan on having the sequel to "A leap of Faith - A new beginning" done in two months. I want to focus on "Aliese'a". I found a great artist in Sweden who is doing the art work for my weapons in Aliese'a. He send me a rough sketch of her sword...it is incredible.
More tomorrow.

A rare rainy and cloudy day in AZ
Rain and clouds in Arizona. A perfect day to read and write...and make 40 white sugar roses for my son's trial wedding cake.
A new day
Literally, and I know it will be a good one. I took the print proof copy of the book over to my oldest daughter last night. She looked at it for a bit and read some and then she started crying. She said that I have been talking about making this dream come true for almost two years and now it's finally happening. She admitted that her and her husband had gotten to the point of thinking I am a bit nuts (which I really am) cause I kept believing in my dream and now it's become real. She said maybe there is something to positive thinking and believing something special can happen and no dream is to big.
That's true my sweet girl, I think I proofed the point.

What a day
Well it started out all right, I got an e-mail from the publisher, all revisions are made and we are off to the printer and awaiting the launch date. I am going to get in touch with the Livestrong foundation so I can set up 1% of the proceeds of the book to go to the foundation, I want to do the same thing with Phoenix children's hospital. I know 1% isn't a lot but I will increase it once I start getting paid more then 10% royalties. Right now I am struggling financially, but I still want to give to those in need. My power got shut off today cause I couldn't pay the bill but luckily I worked something out with them to get it back on. It wasn't a pleasant time with no power in the middle of the day in scorching Arizona.

Here it goes.
Julie Powell inspired me like no one else has been able to...ever. Given what she has gone through to do the Julie/Julia project, I will now start the Sabine/JK project. Granted JK Rowling doesn't have a cookbook from which I can cook from each day but I have a huge amount of respect for Ms Rowling and I feel a huge connection to her. Where she writes, how she writes, whom she uses for her characters etc. All those things seem identical to how I write.
Last Thursday I received the print proof copy for "A leap of Faith" you can't imagine how excited I was. Literally jumping up and down. I have let the publisher know about the changes which need to be made and should know be the end of this week when the launch date will be.

" A leap of Faith"
A story uniting a fantasy world with that of humans.
Faith, a curious 16 year old Pixie, finds herself in deep trouble just one day before the most important day of her life. On her 17th birthday she will be transformed into an adult fairy as all other Pixies before her on that day. For years she has found herself wondering why she is different then the other Pixies in her comunity, such as her freckles. She is the only one in Windhill Tree with the odd dots on her face.
Her curiousity causes more and more trouble, especially when her brother Frizzle tells their dad that once again she "spied" on the humans. Her father sees no other choice then to ban her from her special day.
The events that follow bring together two unlikely friends and show two worlds that they aren't realy that different.
Will Faith get home in time for her ceremony? Will her father allow her to attend her lighting ceremony?
Look for "A leap of Faith" coming soon to Bookstores.
The sequel "A leap of Faith - What happened to Sam" will be available this fall.
